| It's been a long time since I have last checked xanga... I forgot that I still had xanga. When I visited last time three months ago, I gave up on writing an entry because I forgot where to find 'weblog entry' in the newer xanga page. After 30 minutes, I just gave up... Anyway, I have been in Korea since March 2007 after graduating from Rutgers in December 2006 (graduated a semester early). I worked in Korea University as a Student Coordinator for International Summer Campus while working with MBC in editing and translator. Later on, I was able to work in filming shows, meeting announcers, singers, and sportsmen, and I especially enjoyed the opportunity in understanding the society through the selections and portrayals that came by working at this station. Although my intention was just to go to Korea, enjoy the culture, and learn English, but while working at Korea University, I found information about Graduate School of International Studies, and enrolled in this campus during Spring 2008. Since then, I appeared on television documentary, and a film director found me to help him out in tutoring an actress whose trying to debut in the states (she is currently working on a film in Hollywood. I hope she breaks through and debuts on screen. I will let you know more about her as I continue working with this company) Anyway, since then, I have been enjoying with the studies here at Korea University, and met many friends. Especially, I was able to survive in the struggles and hardships I have encountered in Korea by meeting these people, and allowed me to stay in Korea for another year.
I am currently in my third semester, and I will work on my thesis paper starting from the summer. During my fourth semester, I am seeking to get employed in Korea in order to stay here for another year or two. I want to focus on getting employed in broadcasting corporation. I have also been studying for the GREs, hoping to get enrolled in graduate school back in the states, most likely in Korean Culture and Literature. Not sure how these will all work out, but it is very fortunate for me to find my passion and my interests while in Korea. I briefly skimmed through what I have been doing in Korea, and I am happy to say I have been very productive. I am sure many other people have not been using xanga as much, but hopefully I will be able to keep in touch with most of you. I will update you as much as I can. |
